Website Editor Guide

Overview

This website has two different roles that can edit the site: Marketer and Designer.

The Marketer can make changes to text and images within the constraints of the final design. Prior web experience is not needed to make changes.

The Designer can make changes to the layout or overall structure of the website. This is complex and prior web experience is required to make changes. Think of the parts The Designer is building out as the "engine" of the site -- no one but an experienced professional should edit this, or damage to the website can occur.

To familiarize yourself with editing the website, please view the below course by Webflow Support. This will cover basic questions, publishing, and functions.

Webflow help: Edit Content

Resizing Images:
When uploading images, always resize them first. Most images should be between 1000–1500px wide and under 300KB in file size. Full screen images can be 2000px wide. Large images will slow the site down and make pages difficult to load.

Editing Content

1. Login to Webflow.

2. For Static Content (outlined in Blue), such as body copy or accent photos, simply click the item you wish to edit, make your changes, and publish the website when you are finished. There is no "undo" feature, so be sure to keep track of your changes if you are still drafting content.

3. For Components (Outlined in Green), click on the item and the available fields to edit will appear on the right side of the screen. Components are used for elements that appear across the site, such as naviagation and footers, or for elements that are not natively accessible in the Editor, such as photo carousels. If the field you wish to edit is not accessible, please reach out for assistance.

Note: For the infinite photo carousels, you will see two components. Swap photos on both elements to maintain the loop.

To preview changes before they are published, click the Play (triangle) icon in the upper right corner. When ready, hit Publish to launch site wide changes.

Note: Don't forget to resize photos for appropriate web use and check how updates look on mobile devices.
